Hydrate Your Dry Nose!

Are you constitutionally dry, live in an arid climate, or suffer from seasonal dryness? Baraka Dry Nose Oil hydrates the nasal passages, helping to keep your sinuses healthy. Sesame oil and herbs have been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine to ease sinus conditions. Sesame oil stimulates the cilia, which is critical in maintaining good sinus health.* Think of it like a lotion for the nasal passages.  Inspired by Ayurvedic medicine, this blend contains organic sesame oil and the organic essential oils of Cardamom, Everlast, German chamomile and Roman chamomile.

What Is A Dry Nose?

Dry nose occurs when there is a reduction of mucus in the sinus cavities. If overly dry, people may find it painful to breathe, experience nose bleeds and have an increased chance of infection. This condition is often the result of low humidity in the air. Think of it like dry skin- but unlike our skin, the sinuses can become a breeding ground for infection. Baraka Dry Nose Oil is, in a sense, a lotion for the sinus cavity.

Who Gets Dry Nose?

Anyone using central heating during the winter, is constitutionally dry, uses a CPAP, takes a plane ride or lives in an arid region. High altitudes and deserts have humidity levels that can be less than 25%. Indoor heating systems and airplanes can reduce the humidity to 15% or lower. When you breathe in air that has low humidity, nasal mucous membranes dry up, and this prevents the cilia from moving efficiently.

Humidity in your home should stay between 35-45%. With the correct humidity, the sinuses remain hydrated and easily rid themselves of infection and particulate matter such as pollen or dust. How do you know if your home is too dry? Snap your bedroom sheets and see if they spark!

Baraka Dry Nose Oil

Sesame oil and herbs have been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine to help sinus conditions. Sesame oil stimulates the cilia, which is critical in maintaining good sinus health.* Think of it like a lotion for the nasal passages. Below are two suggested applications.

Suggested Applications:

  1. Tilt your head back and put 1-2 drops in each nostril.
  2. Inhale deeply- try to sniff the oils into your sinus passages.
  3. Tilt head forward and pinch nostrils together. Massage your nostrils together to coat the inside.  Release and inhale deeply again.

OR

  1. Insert a Q-tip into the Dry Nose bottle.
  2. Gently massage the inside of nostril.
  3. Be especially gentle with crusted or sore places.
  4. Use other end of Q-tip for application to other nostril since there is a carrier oil in this blend.
  5. Inhale deeply.

What happens next? A small amount of oil may run from your nose or down the back of your throat. This is normal. This oil is to be used as needed. Some people may choose to use it daily and others may use it less frequently.  If you are experiencing excessive dryness and inflammation, oil application may be more often in the beginning until symptoms are under control.
